In the early 90’s Serene Tours Zanzibar envisioned the day when Zanzibar’s tourism industry would be catering for a unique and very exclusive market. Over the Years Serene Tours has become very specialized in tailoring itineraries that are highly private, flexible, and personalized and through offering this service Serene Tours has realized its main strength. Although we have in the past remained almost invisible and this is due to the type of Guests Serene Tours handles, we realize with the increase in demand for this exquisite and unique service Serene Tours Zanzibar has decided to come out in the open and offer this service to our unique VIP guests.

Amina built Serene Tours in the early 90’s when the Tourism Industry was still at its infancy. Over the past 15 years she kept the company busy with small exclusive groups and discreet VIP’s, just a few guests a weeks, eventually a few a month, just enough to keep her happy… A friend of hers, Max, not sharing the same vision anymore of the big Tour Operator he was working for, decided to rejoin Amina. Both sharing the same ideas and views, came to realize that Zanzibar was about to take a radical turn, “Quality but not Quantity”, the time of Mass Tourism in Zanzibar is over. Therefore, they decided to invest their passionate ideas and take Serene Tours Zanzibar to another level, this union between the two of them, brings together years of experience, exquisite service, tourism expertise and the strong will to offer a different encounter with Zanzibar.

The Team
Serene Tours Zanzibar’s team, is composed of over 20 staff, this winning team covers all backgrounds and fields of the Tourism Industry, all are highly trained and committed to excellence and refinement. Staff are multilingual, and can converse in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese (Madarin), Turkish and even Malay Indonesian, we take seriously the understanding of our guests and we are proud to consider our team as your Host in Zanzibar.
